Rod McFarlane Award
We received 8 nominations for buildings within Angus open to the public which have benefited from improvements
to provide access and/or facilities for disabled people.
In September, Angus Provost, Ruth J Leslie Melville, MBE, presented the Award to Carnoustie High
School. Great attention has been paid to making the school and the curriculum accessible for disabled users, and the
Panel welcomed the improvements made.
Highly
Commended Certificates were awarded to Messrs
Campbell and Gibb, at Links Lodge Dental Practice, Montrose,
and The Mechanics Institute, Brechin.
It was an extremely difficult decision for the judges, since
all nominated buildings were of such a high standard.
